Early Intervention Specialist
Stefanie is a 2010 Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Connecticut. She spent 3 years as a travel physical therapist before settling in DC and starting her career in pediatrics. Stefanie has worked in the Virginia Infants and Toddlers and DC Early Intervention Strong Start programs since 2012. She has conducted over 3000 developmental evaluations for children ages birth – 3 and assisted in creating the associated service plans for these children as well.
In 2018, Stefanie opened and founded Infant Physical Therapy of Northern Virginia. Stefanie sees private clients as both a bodyworker and a physical therapist. She specializes in areas including pre/post frenectomy (tongue tie) and oral motor/feeding skills for breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and feeding in the first year, torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delay, atypical movement patterns, asymmetry, and hypotonia. Stefanie is certified as an early interventionist, tummy time expert, and educator of infant massage and has specialty training in kinesiotaping for pediatrics as well as in Tethered Oral Tissues. Most recently, Stefanie became certified with Safe Sleep Space for sleep coaching in both infants and toddlers. Stefanie brings her expertise to forming age appropriate packages, giving toy recommendations, and creating additional ideas for how to play with babies based on age.
As a mom to a 4 year old, Stefanie also understands the value of a company that rotates toys for you, helps significantly reduce expenses, and ensures that your child is never bored.
